ICSNS runs a chess program. It will run like a mixed club and class. The class will start with a teaching portion where we go over plays and chess topics, feel free to share previous knowledge you may have with the class, and the second half of the class will consist of practicing those discussed topics and plays. It will be run by Borna Baradaran-Noveiri, who is a previous provincial chess champion from Halifax. He had an amazing experience being a part of chess clubs and classes. He bases this chess class on the format of the classes he used to attend. Players of all skill levels are welcome as it will be a good refresher and a great way to learn new strategies and get some practice time in. If things go well we can conduct small tournaments within the club to practice the chess theory and plays that we have learned in a competitive setting. Players of both high skill levels and complete intro level players will benefit from this class and most importantly have lots of fun! All ages are welcome! ​
